An EnerGuide assessment is a home audit that will help us identify ways to improve your home's overall comfort and efficiency, and propose clean energy systems which will reduce your GHG emissions and save you money on your utility bills. 

Detailed analysis, design, and documentation will be completed for your home to ensure the new heat pump will perform optimally in all weather conditions and the solar installation will generate enough electricity to power your home. 

​Geothermal heat exchange systems work by using the heat available in the ground to provide heating and cooling in a building. This is accomplished this by using two major components simultaneously: a ground loop and a heat pump. 

A cold-climate air-source heat exchange system uses an outdoor heat pump to exchange heat with the atmosphere. These operate in a similar manner to an air conditioning system but are capable of both heating and cooling and operating at much cooler temperatures. These heat pumps come with a backup system that supplements the heating system on exceptionally cold days. 

​A hybrid electric hot water tank extracts heat from the indoor ambient air to heat water. These systems are highly efficient, saving up to 50% energy compared to a traditional electric hot water system. 

​Solar panels generate clean electricity to power your home, including the newly installed heat pump and the hybrid electric hot water tank. Solar installations greatly reduce your cost of electricity, making the retrofit a significant long-term benefit. A BC Hydro service upgrade may be completed, if required.
